The guests’ shared spaces at Sheffield Lodge are all on the main floor. They include a spacious and quiet living room with forest views, perfect for study or conversation; the entry foyer that always has refreshments and an upright piano that everyone is welcome to play; the kitchen offers guests the microwave oven, toaster, an American coffeemaker and a Keurig coffee maker for flavored coffees and teas that are always available, and the refrigerator can store guests’ extra foods and beverages; the dining room has the buffet server for breakfasts and four tables that can double for studying, or playing games; and the family room has a large-screen Roku TV above the fireplace; and at the back there is a game table area where there are board games, puzzles and cards for enjoying a rainy afternoon indoors. There are shelves and shelves of novels, cookbooks, children’s books, and local guide books. Guests can also enjoy the front porch to enjoy a cup of hot tea, and the sunrise under a warm afghan.
